They praise the system’s portability and promise of instant access to games but question whether switching to the Go will be worthwhile for PSP-3000 owners. They do however conclude that the most interesting thing about the PSP Go will be how it competes against the iPod Touch — something that the product is marketed against. Sony announced the new Sony PSP Go. The Sony PSP Go is small, has no UMD drive, but 16GB of onboard storage.

In a move that could take business away from mass retailers, Sony and Microsoft are set to start selling “high margin” gaming and home office software online with both Companies admitting that they are currently building out networks to sell content and applications direct that will over time hurt mass market retailers and gaming stores like EB Games.
